No New Posts Goldenview Square

Some see the town square as an antiquated concept, but a town as historic as Goldenview still keeps theirs in pristine condition. A variety of open air markets line the square, and if you're not living in Goldenview's Old Town you're probably not living very far from here. Occasionally the square is used as a venue for festivals, concerts, and other such events, but for the most part it is a surprisingly quaint, quiet place.

No New Posts Old Town

The people of Goldenview's historic district have been diehard townies for generations. Some call it Old Town with a roll of their eyes, while others accept the name with pride. While much of Goldenview adopts innovations from Lumen City, here they're kept at an arm's length in favor of the old ways. While Old Town and its residents have a reputation of being stuffy, their baked goods and bed-and-breakfasts are legendarily cozy.

No New Posts The Acres

A lot of Goldenview's land is taken up by small, family-run farms. Whatever crops can't be grown the old fashioned way are handled through specialized greenhouses, allowing most any sort of produce to be found somewhere in town. As diverse as the types of plants are the types of people: townies who have lived in Goldenview for generations, city dwellers seeking to retire surrounded by nature, and immigrants from around the world alike take advantage of Goldenview's generous land subsidies.

No New Posts Lake Bounty

Named for its deep blue waters, lush forests, and fertile lands, Lake Bounty was an instrumental part of Goldenview's founding. Now it is the town's most renowned tourist attraction, offering fishing, nature trails, and plenty of nearby wineries. While it has become more popular as a destination with each year, the small resorts dotting the area have done little to mar its natural beauty.

No New Posts Little Lumen

Located by a train station connecting Goldenview and Lumen City, Little Lumen is a little slice of big city life. To some, it's is a chance for cultural exchange with Goldenview's "big sibling." To others, it's an overstuffed tourist trap. Little Lumen is filled with stores peddling imports from the city, as well as state of the art entertainment such as 4D theaters and holoarcades, making it a popular hangout center among Goldenview's youth.

Board Description
Goldenview
This small, sleepy town may seem overshadowed by the high-tech metropolis it borders, but looks can be deceiving. Farmland stretches as far as the eye can see, with windmills, water wheels, and solar panels dotting the horizon. This production of food and renewable energy, as well as its reputation as an escape from the hustle, bustle, and technological sprawl of its neighbor, has made Goldenview a surprising economic powerhouse. Goldenview and Lumen City have a tight-knit symbiotic relationship, some considering them two halves of a whole in all but name.
