For a while, New Horizons Community College was seen as a token nod towards the education of those in Deep Lumen. However, pushback against that idea has lead to the institution flourishing in recent years. Its programs in the trades now have reputations of great renown, and a variety of two-year and preprofessional programs have helped many of Deep Lumen's students find their own footing. Some believe these efforts will lead to a renaissance in Deep Lumen in the next few generations.
