Kano Elden Age: 21 Birthday: May 18th Gender: Trans Male (He/Him) Hometown: Lumen City Occupation: Aspiring Medical Student Class: Soulburst (Tamer)
Digivice: A V-Bracelet - deep red with swirling golden accents.
Defining Trait: Pride; if there is anything that Kano and Wrylia share in, it is a dragon's pride. The willpower to stand on one's own two feet and act without fear or hesitation, as you pursue your own desires and goals.
Trust; in the end, what will tie Kano and Wrylia together is not the desire for power that initially brought them together, but trust. A deep and loyal trust, that one will always have the other's back.
Digisoul: Kano's digisoul is in the fiery colors of red-orange-gold, blazing and sparking as it pleases. It tends to take on motifs of that of dragons and phoenixes, such as wings, a tail, horns, spines, claws, and fangs - as well as feathers and scales.
AR Field: A desert in the eye of the storm. Buildings become something closer to towering mesas and canyons with carved interiors, the streets become an arid plains with golden-yellow foliage, and the skies are filled with dark clouds with lightning and thunder aplenty. Howling winds whip one's hair every which way, and there is the constant feeling of one's hair standing on end from static in the air. The boundaries of the AR field are denoted with swirling dark clouds, as if one is in the heart of a tornado or hurricane.
The Homepage - set in a much more natural looking canyon, with much the same golden-yellow foliage and stormy skies - has a home (or perhaps more accurately, a lair) carved higher up one of the cliffsides, with similarly-carved ramps leading up to it. A fur curtain keeps the elements out, and both the way up and the interiors are lit with crackling braziers and torches that seem to burn eternally despite the stormy weather. It is equal parts primitive and cozy in its furnishings - able to fulfill most if not all basic creature comforts, and having enough space both inside and outside for hosting spars of varying scales.
Appearance: Kano is a young man who is a bit on the short side - standing at about 5'3'', with a fit and lean build, being somewhat lithe overall. His skin is tanned from being outdoor on the regular, with golden eyes, and long messy black hair that is typically tied up in a braid or ponytail.
His preference in clothes is nothing special - t-shirts, jeans, and the like - though it isn't uncommon to see him wearing bandages or plasters from the occasional scuffles he gets in, as well as the resulting scrapes from climbing around where he isn't supposed to. His ears are pierced - typically being seen wearing a couple of studs in either ear - and he also has a stud piercing on his tongue.
His Soulware, whenever he's wearing it, take the form of thick leather gloves, a simplistic long black gakuran, and combat boots that reach up to just above the middle of his calves - though when he's channeling his Digisoul thru them, they take on motifs of draconic scales, spines, and claws.
Personality: Though amicable and typically friendly enough, Kano is - safe to say - a bit of a belligerent young man. Stubborn, headstrong, and sometimes a little bit rebellious; when he knows what he wants, there's very little to dissuade him from his goals, and he won't let anyone or anything stop him if he can at all help it. He's spent too long under the yoke of others to want to accept being bossed around - and in a city where he only has himself and his partner to rely upon, he's going to relish the taste of freedom as much as he can, for as long as he can. He chafes when made to follow someone else's rules, and if forced to act by someone else's word, he'll do whatever he can to bend the rules in his favor.
However, as mentioned before, Kano isn't necessarily a bad guy. Though it is sometimes expressed under a cool and collected stoicism, he does have the heart to care for others around him - and he tries his best to show and express kindness and affection towards those close to him. And even if he usually chafes when told what to do, he's willing to follow those his intentions and desires align with - even if sometimes a little begrudgingly. (Though, even if they align, he may still become spiteful towards someone who he deems as being too cozy on their high horse, or otherwise bossy, without actually earning the respect that they seem to demand of him.)
But as far as his actual desires go, Kano is a pretty simple guy with simple needs. He enjoys having the freedom to do his own thing - whatever that may be, and whenever that may be. He also craves excitement and adventure - things that get his heart pumping and raring to go, and that get the adrenaline coursing through his veins. In this way, he could sometimes be seen as a bit of an adrenaline junkie, especially given that he doesn't scare easily - even when faced down by danger. As a result, it isn't uncommon for him to get into fights with other people, or to otherwise stick his head where it doesn't belong.
But outside of these desires, Kano has an appreciation for a number of things. He has an interest in healing and medicine - particularly first aid - and in addition to this, he enjoys brawling/fistfighting in the back streets on an occasion. He finds pride in being as self-sufficient as possible, and he enjoys nothing more than spending free time with others close to him - including other fellow delinquent types who he can share in an appreciation for independence and freedom with.
History: Kano's parents were... A bit of a strict, even if loving, duo. Born to a wealthy businessman for a father and a programmer for a mom, both of them were intelligent and successful individuals, who led successful lives. Kano never felt like he was ever left wanting as far as luxury and frivolity went, as a result, in the household. However, even that being said, both of his parents wanted to see Kano grow up to be a successful individual like themselves; and as a result, the young boy often felt the pressures of such on his shoulders from an early age.
Go to this school, take these classes, always be home after school for studying... Kano lived his life on a schedule of his parents' making; and he would usually find himself chafing against these responsibilities that he had saddled onto him without even being asked, when it wasn't hard to see that other children his age were oftentimes being given all the more freedom. For as well-intentioned as his parents' wants were, he would feel smothered when he looked to kids on the street, with all the free-time in the world, on his way home from school.
Work hard, be successful, and be given the privilege to be worked even harder. Who wanted a life like that?
As a result of all of this, it wasn't hard to see where Kano's rebellious and obstinate nature would eventually come from - wanting to find some degree of freedom, from the boundaries his parents always set for him. It started as him finding no harm in goofing off a little during when he was supposed to be studying, or otherwise faking being sick to skip a class. But when the yoke was tightened to try and make up for time that his parents believed was lost, well...
... He'd eventually decide to screw all of this fancy bullshit, as he - one day - skipped out on class to let loose a little while; he could live a happy life just fine, without it! Right?
Thus, as he began getting older, it wasn't uncommon for Kano to pick up on bad habits; playing hooky, falling in with the wrong crowds, getting into the occasional fight... He enjoyed not having to follow another's rule or word, enjoyed being able to finally choose for himself what to do. And who cared if his parents scolded him for a missed class, or for coming home with a split lip? There was a certain thrill in finally having some freedom for himself, even if this caused tension between him and his parents...
This tension, however, would eventually boil over shortly after his 18th birthday; getting into an argument with his father over picking out a college or academy, when Kano - at the time - had no interest in such. He was tired of being pestered over something that was still some time in the future - he was tired of being pestered over 'ruining his life' with his supposedly bad habits. He was an adult now, wasn't he? He didn't have to listen to his parents anymore - even if he never did for a long while - didn't he?
Thus, Kano would make the decision to move out - moving into a townhouse with a childhood friend as a roommate. He'd start picking up odd jobs and the like to help pay for rent, all the while figuring out for himself what he'd decide to do, now that he had the space to think for himself. For as much as he'd claim that school sucked, well... He actually did enjoy learning, just on his own terms; and as time passed, he figured that perhaps medical school would be something up his alley...
Goals: - Kano has interests in getting into medical school one day, though what exactly he wants to be is still up in the air.
- Kano wants to be able to live independently and by his own rules, and wishes to learn whatever skills he can to aid in doing so.
- In addition to this, Kano is admittedly a bit bored of the same day-to-day routines; he wants to find something to do to really shake things up, and add some excitement to his life.

Wrylia Species: Aegiomon Gender: Female (She/Them)
Personality: Battle-happy, tough, and quite the loudmouth, Wrylia has always grown up ascribing to the idea that might makes right - that the ones who are strong make all the rules - and that those who dislike it can suck it up and either toughen up, or leave. She tends to put on the impression of being a bit of a bully, in that she isn't afraid to throw her weight around wherever and however she pleases - including sometimes pushing around smaller digimon with her size and strength, and even teasing and prodding at them on an occasion. She is also prone to disregarding the commands or requests of those that she deems weaker than herself, unless otherwise interested - chafing easily when being pushed around by someone who she believes she could punt into the sun.
However, that being said, Wrylia nonetheless has some honor and loyalty to her. She doesn't enjoy fighting weaker digimon (at least not at a higher stage,) and dislikes using dirty tactics to get the upper hand - enjoying getting up close and personal with anyone who can truly push her limits. She is typically true to her word, being honest to a sometimes blunt and brutal degree, and oftentimes being frustrated by roundabout or dishonest speech, or otherwise attempts to manipulate or lie. She also tends to show respect and acknowledgement towards other digimon and humans who desire to truly prove their strengths and build upon them - even (sometimes even especially!) if the individual in question is weaker than herself.
As far as desires go though, Wrylia desires to be strong. To be top dog, and to become a digimon that people will fear and respect alike, as she stands strong on her own two feet. The idea of taking it slow and easy oftentimes leads to her becoming frustrated and pent up, and as a result she is rarely ever idle for very long - not unless she's already tuckered herself out with a good training session or a good fight. She can grow increasingly agitated in this sense - and if her frustration gets strong enough, she'll oftentimes take her emotions out on objects, or anyone that she can goad into a proper fight.
On the battlefield though, one thing is for sure: even in her less-draconic forms, Wrylia is every bit as much of a dragon as her name implies. Loud, tenacious, and brutal - her preferred tactics rarely ever involve keeping her distance from the enemy. She'll get physical, she'll grapple them, she'll toss them around if the opportunity arises! However, she easily gets bored if she feels that her opponent doesn't challenge her enough - and if bored, she may try to end the fight as quickly as possible just to get it over with (including sometimes just walking away, if she feels like it.)
Outside of combat and thrills though, Wrylia enjoys the simple things more often than not. A good bed, good food, good drink - simple comforts are things that she can easily take pleasure in, especially if she feels as though she's earned it. She also enjoys warm climates and basking in the sun - which sometimes further emphasizes her draconic motif - as well as sharing a laugh and company with those she respects and considers to be her allies, sometimes even teasing them in a more good-natured fashion if she is in a humorous mood.
History: Wrylia, from a young age, had always been taught the value of strength, of power. The strong make the rules, and what they say goes - whilst the weak follow and do as they're told. And if someone who was weak took issue with the rules set before them, then they were to fight, train, and grow until they became strong as well; strong enough to deny the rules they hated so, strong enough to make rules of their own. Or, if they were too weak to even manage that, then they could leave.
These were the laws set long ago, in the clan that she had been born into - a clan of ogres, dragons, bandits, and marauders. And these were the laws that they followed - that the strongest, the leader, made all of the rules. That anyone stronger than yourself called the shots - and if you didn't like it, then you could leave, or start getting stronger. It was a pecking order that had worked for the clan over many years, and it was a pecking order that likely would not fade anytime soon.
It was a shame, then, that getting stronger was something that Wrylia seemed to struggle in after a certain point. It wasn't like she was born a runt, or that she wasn't trying hard enough. But after having reached Rookie, it seemed that digivolving any higher was something far more easily said than done, no matter how hard she tried, and no matter how many fights she picked with those in her clan. The only thing she'd find herself getting out of these fights were scrapes and bruises - never coming any closer to reaching Champion.
Did she need to find some other source of power? Some other source of strength? It was hard to say for sure; but what she did know, was that she was fast falling behind the peers whom she had once been able to best, as they managed to find themselves reaching Champion far before she did. And as more and more of the clan noticed her inability to digivolve any further, it wasn't long before the teasing, the jeers, and the taunts came after.
Certainly, she felt confident in her ability to bash a fellow Rookie into the ground - but how much did that matter, when they'd eventually outpace her, and upon reaching Champion be able to turn the tides on her and push her around in turn? She was almost like an anomaly amongst her peers, in this regard.
Thus, it would be in trying to seek power, that she soon set out on her own...
Goals: - Wrylia desires to become powerful - powerful enough that she doesn't have to worry about others questioning her might, or worth, even in a world so different from where she originated. And well, Wrylia wouldn't say no to having some form of renown, either. Perhaps these humans could give her the attention and acknowledgement that she lacked, back home.
- She also is almost always itching for a fight - even if she gets to the top, she'll always desire to fight new foes who'll throw curveballs at her, or otherwise keep her on her toes and challenge her limits.
- Though it is not something she expresses or always acknowledges, there is a part of Wrylia that craves community. A part of her that misses nights spent around a campfire, laughing and singing with fellow bandits over good food and drink.

⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Swiftclaw: Wrylia strikes at an opponent, attempting to shred them with her razor-sharp claws.
[TRAIT] Lightning Tiger: Though electricity still courses through Wrylia's blood, she does not channel it into additional power. Instead, she channels it into pure speed - becoming a blur of lightning when she truly pushes herself.

⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Tiger's Judgement: Wrylia pushes her body to its limit - becoming an electrical blur as she overclocks herself for additional speed for the next 3 turns. [TRAIT] Primal Hide: Wrylia's reptilian nature offers her a thick hide that is able to shrug off damage more easily than other digimons', and protects her from most forms of damaging difficult terrain. However, as a reptile, she is also sensitive to temperature - exposure to cold climates or attacks slows her body, particularly her reaction speed.
[TRAIT] Tyrant Predator: Wrylia is the king of dinosaurs; the strength behind her strikes are not to be underestimated, especially when they can easily send smaller foes off their feet.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Strongclaw: Wrylia jabs and swipes at an enemy with her sharp claws!

A pilot can be a human or similarly reasonably-sized Digimon - whereupon their power or Digisoul serves to fuel her onwards, and they form a telepathic link to share thoughts/senses with. The more in-sync she is with her pilot, and the stronger the pilot (or the pilot's Digisoul), the higher her parameters above baseline.
[TRAIT] Protective Cockpit: Wrylia's cockpit is quite secure, and large enough to fit the pilot, and a few human-scale passengers or equivalent cargo. It has a sturdy front door that only Wrylia has control over - unless forced open by a stronger Digimon. Whilst closed, neither passengers nor those outside can directly target each other with techniques that require a clear shot - with Wrylia taking enemy techniques in their stead.
[TRAIT] Silvery Armor: Wrylia is built tough, with thick silver armor covering the majority of her body - allowing her to withstand attacks more easily. However, this does not apply to attacks from within her cockpit - and she is, in fact, extremely vulnerable to such due to the proximity to her Digicore.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Berserker Charge: In response to an incoming attack, Wrylia charges headlong into it - bracing herself against some of the resulting damage, and allowing her to attempt a counterattack of her own! Cooldown: 2 Posts
[TRAIT] Titanic Oni: Wrylia is large and in charge, especially considering she has to accommodate a cockpit and pilot. This translates to titanic power as well - when she has a pilot, she is able to hit hard with her strikes.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Silver Fist: Wrylia strikes at her opponent with great force - not unlike being hit by a train, considering scale!

⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Thunderclap: Wrylia slams either one or both hands upside her target's ears (or closest equivalent area) to discombobulate them - victims reporting that being struck sounds like a clap of thunder. It can briefly deafen the target - especially if both hands are used - but otherwise is mainly intended to temporarily stun/daze for the next round. Duration: 1 Post Cooldown: 2 Posts
[TRAIT] Borrowed Element: Wrylia's energy-based attacks are channeled from her pilot (and thus require their presence); taking the form of either a Digimon's associated element, or the element that most closely fits a human's Digisoul. In the event that no other elements suit the pilot, it is instead pure physical energy - such as kinetic or sound.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Union Blast: Wrylia gathers together the energy, to let loose an elemental blast at the opponent! Cooldown: 1 Post
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Union Breaker: Charging a significant amount of elemental energy into her fists, Wrylia begins a relentless assault on the enemy with earth-shattering strikes; one that is somewhat difficult to fully block! Cooldown: 3 Posts
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Union Judgement: A move that both Wrylia and her pilot must agree to use. Wrylia draws every bit of elemental energy that she can from her pilot and herself; condensing it into a single point, as she releases it in the form of a devastating beam! It is difficult to fully block; however, after use, both Wrylia and her pilot are weakened for the next 2 turns - temporarily disabling Borrowed Element and relevant techniques. - Dark Evo Line (THE BLIND RAGE OF A RABID BEAST) -Champion, LavorvomonVirus - Dragon's Roar, Nightmare Soldiers - Rock Dragon[TRAIT] Determination: Once Wrylia gets going, it is hard to make her stop - be it by her strong build, or sheer force of will. As a result, she can more easily maintain her footing and inertia, and she will often force herself to last a little longer in combat despite any injuries she may receive.
[TRAIT] Volcanic Heart: Fire is Wrylia's breath, and magma is her blood; she practically radiates heat, and will harness those flames to burn all in her way to a crisp.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Volcano Claw: With blazing claws, Wrylia rushes the foe to strike at them!
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Searing Bite: Wrylia sinks her blazing-hot teeth and claws into the foe, leaving them with a nasty burn that continues to deal damage for the next two turns. Duration: 2 Posts Cooldown: 2 Posts
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Raging Flames: Wrylia breathes out crimson flames in a sweeping cone in front of her, attempting to burn all life that she can see. Cooldown: 2 Posts
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Final Judgement: A two-stage attack; on the first turn, Wrylia's wings extend with wild flames - which she uses to ascend into the sky, glowing brighter as she builds energy, like a volcanic blaze. On the second turn, as she reaches the peak of her ascent, she tucks her wings and dives back down to impact upon the battlefield - whereupon the built-up energy is released in a pyroclastic explosion of magma! The attack deals heavy recoil damage to her - if it does not outright incapacitate her - as she attempts to take everyone in combat down with her. Charge: 1 Post Cooldown: Once Per Thread
[TRAIT] Living Furnace: Wrylia can absorb heat in the area to fuel her abilities - and when faced with a fire or heat-based technique, she is able to harmlessly absorb it to give her next fire attack a boost! However, on the other hand, exposure to ice and water can weaken and slow her down.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Wreathed In Rage: Wrylia hunkers down in place to absorb ambient heat and let the rage within build. For the next three turns, anyone who remains next to her will take light fire damage - more if they make outright contact. Duration: 3 Posts Cooldown: 2 Posts
[TRAIT] Rabid Beast: In her blind rage, Wrylia puts her everything into her attacks - often to her own detriment. She throws herself into the fray so wildly and recklessly - without any care for herself - that she will typically take recoil damage in the process.
⤷ [TECHNIQUE] Blind Charge: Wrylia throws her full weight into the opponent, crashing into them! A strong - but somewhat inaccurate - move. Approved!
What is pride, truly? Is it a treasure to be hoarded oh so jealously? Or is it a blessing to share with those you hold closest? To find this truth is to answer what generations have reached for in vain.
You have received your complimentary 1,000 memory. Welcome to Digimon: Future Shock.
