Personality: Colin is the type of person that likes to take life as it happens to him. He is quite adaptable, with his family frequently moving to different places across the USA during his life. Unfortunately, it left Colin with difficulties in gaining new friends, given that he was so frequently moved from one state to another due to the work requirements of his parents, it left him somewhat demotivated to making new friends once he reached middle school, knowing whatever friends he tried to make would be quickly taken away in the next year.
Colin is somewhat introvertive, he prefers to stay to himself and not draw much attention. However, he has a passion for compassion and justice. But he doesn't yet have the confidence to call out injustices as he sees them. Eventually, with some companionship, he will gain the confidence to act on his sense of justice.
For the most part, Colin is polite and noncombative, but he will strike back if he is struck first, both verbally and physically. Other than that, he's the type that just wants to be left alone to do his own thing, but, if he sees a problem, he would very much like to solve it.
History: Colin was born in the 2030's as the second child of Nathan and Amanda James in Omaha, Nebraska. Their first child was Sophie, 4 years older than him.
During Colin's childhood, his parents presented themselves as a travelling team that sold themselves as such. Nathan James was a talented Engineer, and Amanda James was a competent Secretary. They sold themselves to various industries as such and while they weren't present as much as they wanted, they still were able to afford a comfortable life for their children. Plus Colin's grandparents were flexible enough to move with them whenever the family had to move every 3-4 years to find the next opportunity.
That was until Colin turned 10, when his grandparents reached their limit and would cease to be able to continue the routine. Thus the James family settled in Lumen City on the Pacific west coast, and it was there that Colin began middle school. In fact he felt it was good for his health, given he never really did well inland. The coastal atmosphere did much for his chronic respiratory problems, and cleared it by the time he was a middle school teenager.
But still, Colin struggled to make new friends, and tended to stick to what made him most comfortable - video games. Colin's academic strengths lay in history, geography and biology, so he tends to focus on those subjects in life.
Goals: Colin wants to eventually anchor himself to a good position in life. He wants to be able to make lasting friendships, and make an impression on the world where he can enact justice, where the wrongdoers are put to face consequences for their actions and the good and kind are able to prosper.

Personality: Bellamy is an outgoing, fun-loving individual whose main hatred is being bored. He likes to be stimulated by anything he finds interesting, fascinating or fun, and hates to be left waiting or forced into solitude. Fortunately thanks to his friendship with the more patient Owen, he has learned ways of dealing with boredom, such as keeping alert to what he can see about the world around him.
Bellamy is very affectionate to those he regards as his friends. Once he gets used to being Colin's partner, he'll act around him as a friendly cat would - always appreciating a cuddle when he wants it, but otherwise keeping to himself when he wants to.
Bellamy also shares Colin's sense of justice somewhat, in that in his view, assholes don't get to cheat to get what they want by force. They have to suffer and persevere, just like how he did to get to where he is in life.
Lastly, Bellamy has a strong friendship with Owen the Gaomon, who will eventually become partner to Colin's sister Sophie. Much of his social behaviour was learned from him in the time they grew up together.
History: Bellamy was born in a cold region of the digital world. He grew up in a very harsh region, where digimon had to learn what they could in the short summer before the freezing winter set in. In Bellamy's case, he was lucky to evolve to Rookie during the summer, and have a growth of thick fur on him to adapt to the region.
Still though, his first winter hit him hard. Bellamy thought he could get by in his own way with his fire magic, but soon he faced reality by the fact that to continue to be able to conjure his fire magic, he needed to regularly eat and rest.
One day, during a nasty blizzard, Bellamy was forced to take shelter in a cave. He was soon joined by a Gaomon. Bellamy initially threatened him, but he was in such a weak state that the Gaomon didn't even acknowledge his threat and told him that either they cooperate or they die. Thankfully the Gaomon was skilled enough with outdoor survival that he kept the both of them alive after that ordeal and they became friends. Bellamy the Impmon and Owen the Gaomon.
As much as Owen's tendency to be an annoying lawful boy scout grated on Bellamy, he appreciated the friendship of the canine digimon and resolved to be his friend. And it would be the case when the two of them would become partners to brother and sister Colin and Sophie James.
Goals: To gain power, to learn about the world around him, and to prosper from it.
