Name: Isaac Sunderland Age: 17 Birthday: August 13th Gender: Male Hometown: Oakland, CA Occupation: Big Brother and Layabout
Class: Liberator
Digivice: For a device as wondrous as a Digivice, Isaac's is oddly drab. It resembles a standard D-3 model Digivice, but with a dull, dark grey foregrip. Little heat comes from the device, even when it's running at full capacity, and its screen only seems to flicker on for brief moments.
Defining Trait: Isaac's defining traits are a balancing line between Dependability and Freedom. The former is equal parts what has been instilled in him from an early age, though he strives to live up to it for the little sibling he cares so deeply for. The latter is what he yearns to take for himself, even if he doesn't have the slightest idea how to spend it. Together, they allow him to stand proud and mighty as an example for others. In the absence of either, he is his current self; drifting around without neither care nor clue in the world, living moment by moment in a gray haze.
Digisoul: Isaac's Digisoul is almost imperceptible, yet it is a very different flavor of understated when compared to his Digivice. It manifests as if it were the wind, near-imperceptible ripples causing his hair and clothes to billow out. In more intense moments, these wind currents become more visible, winds of white coiling around his left hand and winds of black coiling around his white.
AR Field and Homepage: Isaac's AR Field, the Pandemonium Palace, turns the world into what appears to be a living chessboard. Where the white squares touch, the world becomes more perfect and pristine than it could ever be in reality. Foliage trims itself neatly, buildings sparkle from how clean they are, and strings of soothing music hum in the background. Where the black squares touch, anarchy reigns. The terrain bends, bristles, and grows in unpredictable fashion to the tune of a grand cacophony, up becoming down and left becoming right. At its most intense, the AR Field seems to cast the world in silhouette, black and white strikingly contrasting with one another.
The titular palace makes itself known as Isaac's Homepage. It, too, is broken up in this grid-like fashion, making the process of wandering through the palace's halls somewhat disorienting. Depending on which square you stand upon as you perceive it, it is either a brilliant palace cast in whites and golds or a crumbling ruin of black stone, veins of red thrumming beneath the surface.
Appearance: Build - Isaac is short. There's no bones about it. At 5'1", he's well below average height for males his age, and unless a blessing from the heavens gets delivered his way he's a little too far from his last growth spurt. Perhaps it's down to the fact that he never really ate enough growing up; it'd certainly explain why he's a rather slender, scrappy sort. His musculature is pretty average, with the leanness of someone who keeps fairly active but with none of the muscle of a focused athlete. Much to Isaac's chagrin, he's mistaken for someone younger more often than he'd like.
Features - Isaac's eyes are a soft hazel, fittingly the most indecisive of eye colors. While he tends to keep his tongue bitten down with regard to his emotions, they are frustratingly expressive, often revealing more about how he feels than he'd care to show. With the exception of these rather large eyes, his facial features are on the smaller side, with thin lips and a small, sharp nose. He tends to keep his blonde hair close cropped, as if given time to grow unchecked it tends to bristle out into an unmanageable mess. Freckles dust across the bridge of his nose, especially when he's let himself build up a tan.
Style - As if to compensate for his slender figure and babyfaced looks, Isaac tends to go hard when it comes to style. He usually puts what money he can pick up towards the trendiest looks he can get his hands on, although he lacks the money for truly fancy stuff like hologram monograms. He tends to favor stark black and white combinations, often accented with either golds or purples. The plus side about having so few growth spurts is that he has a big backlog of clothing that he can leverage, giving Isaac a surprisingly expansive wardrobe. He's not much for accessorizing: a well fitting shirt and pants combo is enough for him, maybe with a jacket in the colder weather.
Personality: Listless - When you grow up with a golden child, you're used to your own wants being second place. For this reason, Isaac isn't the type to put much care into his day by day life. He's a firm believer in the idea that Cs get degrees, and while he holds secret ambitions close to his chest (for example, a desire to act), he'll tend to keep them buried deep instead of actually putting in effort to pursue them. Perhaps he needs less on his plate so he can find the energy to break through this wall and discover his true self. Perhaps he needs a change of scenery, time away from those who have kept him held down in the past. Or maybe he just needs a proper advocate. One of the few times he actually shined was when he had a subject material he was passionate about and a teacher willing to engage him on it, after all. Stubborn - Isaac's so hard headed, you could probably use him to break concrete. Once Isaac actually has it in his mind to do something, dissuading him can be very, very hard. This tends to leave Isaac at odds with authority figures, especially ones who he feels are overstepping their bounds or stifling others instead of building them up to be their best selves. Anyone whose thought process starts and stops at "because I said so" is someone who Isaac is already predisposed not to trust, especially if they're an older man. That one falls squarely on the shoulders of the man he refuses to call father, their tension a shadow hovering over much of Isaac's upbringing. Guarded - Trust is not something Isaac gives out freely. He can come off as abrasive or distant on the first impression, especially if the person he's interacting with rubs him the wrong way. To a degree, there's a bit of a hedgehog's dilemma component to it. Getting close to someone means they can hurt him, or, worse, he might fail them. However, once it's clear he's attached and can't do anything about it, he does everything in his power to keep his bonds with others preserved. In such cases he's loyal, selfless, and caring, a complete turnaround from the face he usually shows those outside of his circle. Just be careful not to break his trust once you make it. When you open up as deeply and completely as Isaac does, the pain of a betrayal hurts all the more badly. Rash - You wouldn't believe it from what seems to be a cold outward demeanor, but Isaac's heart does far more thinking than his head does. He rarely takes time to map his decisions out, which tends to leave him in way over his head. It's born more out of worry than out of malice; in fact, his most reckless decisions come from those important to him being at risk. However, it tends to make things worse just as often as it makes things better. This even extends to his time in the Digital World, where he prefers off-the-cuff improvisation over pre-preparing. That isn't to say he's dumb: he's a surprisingly quick, creative thinker! Just don't ask him to put one foot in front of the other. Jack of All Trades - The advantage of not caring much about your ambitions is that it isn't very hard to pick up new things, because it isn't like you'll be going far with them anyway. Isaac's life is littered with plenty of past hobbies, and it's given him a knack for quickly, casually picking up new things. He's far from a master at any of them. In fact, older hobbies he can be embarrassingly rusty at in the beginning. However, he's surprisingly quick at picking up the basics of things, whether for fun or in times of need, and once he shakes the rust off he hits the ground running. If there's something that needs doing, and no experts in the field around to talk to, there's never any harm in asking Isaac.
History: If one was to ask Isaac's sibling, El, what their upbringing was like, they'd gush about how their life was pretty incredible. They'd say they grew up in a loving household where they never wanted for anything, raised by two hardworking parents and supported by the best big brother they could ever ask for. Life was simple, and everyone was happy. Isaac only wishes he could back his sibling's story up. Unfortunately, reality's never quite so simple, is it? Isaac believed himself to be the child of Terrence Sunderland, a struggling architect, and his wife Cassandra, a saleswoman who always seemed to be juggling some sort of project. From the beginning, he had the feeling that something was wrong. His father always seemed to keep him at an arm's distance, any affection token and uncommon at best. Surely there was a reasonable explanation for this, right? Maybe it was just normal dad-like stoicism, like all the ones on those old TV shows his mom kept watching. Or maybe it was because of El, who was 4 years his junior and was a very fussy baby. Or maybe, just maybe, it was a question answered at the age of eight, when he was too listless to sleep and heard a muffled argument through the thin walls of their apartment. It only made sense that Terrence would save the love for "his real kid," after all. Isaac never did find out who his biological father was. Frankly, he couldn't bring himself to care. It wasn't like asking about it would suddenly give him a dad. It'd just mean there were two men in his life giving him the cold shoulder instead of one. There was a certain innocence that Isaac lost after that day. He retreated into himself somewhat, the eagerness to please once present replaced by sarcasm, rebelliousness, and a certain resentment. The fact that he did everything right and was still be treated as less for something outside of his control hit him deeply, and if there was any hope of peace in the family it had promptly flown out the window. Isaac's words toward Terrence became increasingly surly, and his actions became increasingly disobedient. Terrence responded in kind towards the disrespect, the previous cold yet peaceful distance between the two warping into mutual disdain. The tension at home lead to tension throughout his life. Once a bright learner, Isaac's grades plummeted in third grade and never quite recovered. Whereas once he was all too happy to help out with El, he now spent as much time as possible trying to stay away from his sibling. If he picked up hobbies, they were often tossed aside shortly thereafter. He even withdrew from his networks of friends, despite knowing that they would be the comfort and companionship he'd been missing from home. His mother tried everything she could to smooth out this "rebellious phase." She supported his hobbies no matter how often he turned his back on them, tried to spend more time with him when her job wasn't dragging her back on call, and was the closest thing to an advocate he had when arguments with Terrence broke out. However, she was a parent, not a peer, and ultimately her responsibilities were to everyone in the family. There was nobody to be there for Isaac and Isaac alone, and in his hurt he was far too reluctant to let anyone take that role. Surprisingly, it was El who ended up his rock in these times. No matter how aloof or distant he tried to be, El seemed stuck to him like glue. He resented it at first. How could he not? Why should he have to act like they're siblings when their so-called father couldn't even treat him like a son? Yet El kept persisting, and as he did so Isaac realized that he was falling right into the sins of the father. It would be just as unfair to resent El for factors out of their control as it was for Terrence to resent him for his mother's infidelity. If Isaac were to, say, suddenly be yanked away to another world, and he only had the chance to tell El one last thing, it would be that they basically saved their life. Since that they forward, they were inseparable, much to the disappointment and fear of anyone that tried to bully El. Brotherhood gave Isaac the purpose that he felt had been torn away from him. It wasn't exactly a perfect solution. By now he had firmly settled into his position as the family's silver medal, and was almost more invested in caring for El than he was in his own ambitions. He also still found it difficult to open up to others outside of the few friends that stuck with him through his trials and tribulations. Some might go as far to argue that he had traded a lack of coping for an unhealthy coping mechanism. Indeed, in putting his focus on someone else rather than himself, some of Isaac's childhood ended up flying right past him. He had friends, sure. He partook in school activities. However, so much of it was on a superficial level, and its rare that parts of his middle school and high school experiences really jump out at him as being special. His life was, in the truest sense of the term, decidedly average. One of the few people he can immediately reminisce about was his creative writing teacher from his freshman year, the first and only teacher to ask him why he had so clearly phoned in an assignment. Rather than just dismiss Isaac or take his coasting at face value, he poked and prodded at Isaac's reasonings, questioning him on each and every error. Isaac fought him at first, naturally, but there wasn't defiance in his words. There was passion, passion Isaac didn't even know he possessed, and confrontation slowly turned into collaboration as the two's spirited discussion continued. From that day forward Isaac strived like he'd never strived before, earning the first and only A in a course in ages. This was where he had gotten his recommendation to give drama a try; he may've been okay at creative writing, but it was the delivery of his work that really impressed his teacher. Isaac said he'd "think about it," and has been thinking about it ever since. Perhaps if more people challenged Isaac like this, or if Isaac thought he was worth challenging in the first place, he'd be thriving instead of surviving. However, Isaac instead chose the comfort of subsistence, and thus he remained comfortable yet unfulfilled. Such comfort came to a sudden end three years ago, on the night of the Kickball Incident. It was just supposed to be a casual game, but siblings always have a way of taking things too far. In the usual shows of one-upsmanship each throw was harder than the last, and each kick quickly followed suit. Technique and coordination were quickly left by the wayside, but that's okay. Kids were always invincible! One of the two little idiots would sprain their ankle or pull a muscle. Then everything would be fine, right? Unfortunately, bad luck has a way of beating the odds when it's wanted least. El's show-off attempt at a high kick left them twisting onto their ankle in the worst possible way, fracturing the growth plate. Isaac tried his best to figure out what was wrong, but he was no field medic, and after a few moments of panic he made the choice of phoning home. Any hope that his mother would pick up was dashed when he heard Terrence on the line, and at that moment he knew the Sunderland family would never be the same. Isaac was no longer Isaac to Terrence. Just "that boy, who hurt my child." Arguments with Terrence became more common through the day, with both parents arguing with each other through the night. They still tried to keep a unified front for El, an unspoken truce for the member of the family all parties involved was worth fighting for. However, the facade crumbled a little bit more each day, reaching its limits within the year. Cassandra could no longer abide by how Terrence treated Isaac, any remaining guilt over her own past now the furthest thing from her mind, and she put her foot down. The divorce papers that followed suit were almost signed too quickly, but Isaac didn't care. He was just glad Terrence was finally gone. The past three years had been one of hardship for the Sunderlands. Cassandra was always busy, but having to carry an entire salary on her own shoulders left her little time to care for her children. It didn't help that a higher paying job was needed, leaving the family moving to Lumen City to start their life anew. Isaac had to quickly learn to not only handle himself, but also care for El, practically becoming a third parent for them in the process. In a way, it was one last piece of his childhood that he needed to sacrifice for the good of his family, but it was a role he was all too happy to take. El had been his rock, seemingly without realizing it. Now it was his turn to pay him back for it. Now the winter break is approaching, and with it, Isaac finds himself at a crossroads. College applications are about to become a reality, and he's barely had any time to prepare. For the first time since he could remember, Isaac is going to have to look deep inside of himself and figure out what he wants. Part of him wonders if he even can anymore. However, after years of hardship, struggle, and sacrifice, he finally has an invaluable chance in his grasp; a fresh start. If only he knew how fresh of a start it would be!
Goals: Goals? What're Those? - Look, let's be real. Isaac's never known what he's wanted to do with his life. His formative years were spent feeling like he had no identity of will of his own. In some ways, he's had to grow up too fast. In other ways, he hasn't grown up nearly as much as he should have. Rather than find a goal he could commit to and call his own, Isaac's been content to let life idly pass him by. Maybe in a way, keeping his head down while causing as little problems as possible is a goal in its own right. But does that truly count?
Brother of the Year - Isaac's relationship with his younger half-sibling, El, is Complicated. In the past he resented El for basically stealing the family spotlight, but that got unsustainable real fast. Turns out its hard to have bad feelings towards someone who thinks you're the coolest person imaginable. The resulting guilt, alongside spite towards his not-father, left Isaac with a new goal: break the cycle of resentment and be the best goddamn big brother El could ever ask for. It's still a work in progress, but he's making the best of it. Acting - Isaac doesn't seem the type at first. He can be a bit distant, after all. And he certainly doesn't have the height for it. However, Isaac has a flair for the theatric buried under the surface, and if the idea didn't tie his stomach in knots he'd love to take the stage at some point. Perhaps when he's sorted out some of his issues, he can make strides towards fixing this little problem. It'd be a shame if it was tossed to the wayside, alongside other brief fixations such as parkour and podcasting.

Name: Azazel Species: PawnChessmon Black Gender: Believes gender is a type of sandwich. Does not subscribe to its lies.
Personality: Naive - Azazel knows little about how the world works, a fact that remains true no matter which world it speaks of. It's quick to believe what it has been told, unless the proof to the contrary is irrefutable. Because of this, it tends to take people at face value, rarely digging into their emotions beyond a surface level. Its naivete makes it pleasant yet somewhat unfulfilling to talk to for long periods of time, like the conversational equivalent of elevator music. However, there are times where it shows profound insight, sometimes connecting dots that even its far more perspective human can miss. Is the naivete it presents just a front that occasionally slips? Or does it just think on a vastly different wavelength from others?
Glory-Seeking - Being naive doesn't mean Azazel has little to say, however. It has a lot to say. Like, a lot, a lot. Especially if that "a lot" pertains to itself. Azazel often finds a way to tie conversations or discoveries to its great historical chronicle, an archive of events that totally happened for real. These seem to be made of whole cloth. In fact, Azazel can barely go two stories without contradicting itself. However, it holds itself to the truth of these stories with a fervor beyond mere delusion, insisting on its honor that they are nothing but the truth. This gives Azazel a drive to never stop pushing itself, recovering quickly from failures and taking great joy in success.
Wondrous - With a lot to prove and little experience with the world around it, is it any surprise that Azazel tends to be easily awed? New discoveries blow its mind with ease, and if it sees something it particularly likes it will doggedly and shamelessly pursue it. This can be as simple as a new goal for itself or as complicated as "I want to touch the sun," much to Isaac's irritation. Despite this, Azazel's cheer is somewhat infectious, and has a way of making even the most mundane situations feel that little bit more important. It tends to think of others as highly as it thinks of itself, too, which makes its bragging and boasting that little bit less irritating.
History: Azazel was nothing more than an egg until the day its Digivice was found. It insists it was a legendary hero in its heyday, but has little to no evidence to back its claim up.
Goals: Become Legend - If you believe Azazel, it was already a legend once before. However, it wants to do it again. Until its Digicore pulses with power beyond power, and its name is whispered with adoration and fear across both worlds, it insists it won't truly be happy. Sometimes, its threshold for "legend" can seem hilariously low. It will often declare the most tiny victories and meaningless goals as important steps on its ironclad life plan. However, it leaves one fact clear: Azazel is not going to stop moving, even if it means having to drag its friends along the path of greatness with it.
Enjoy The Finer Things - Good food. Far-off places. Entertainment and drama at its fingertips. If there's a new experience out there, Azazel can't wait to get its little golden mitts on it. It seems to have a particular fondness for more expensive and luxury experiences, though actual money itself seems of little value for it. To this end, Azazel's philosophy is rather simple. It is Great, and therefore it deserves Great things in return. It can even share these Great things with its equally Great friends! It doesn't seem to be the endpoint of Azazel's path to glory, but is certainly a benefit that it thoroughly enjoys along the way.

Name: Ajax Species: PawnChessmon White Gender: Duty.
Personality: World-Weary - For a Digimon quite literally born yesterday, Ajax already carries itself with the weight of years upon its shoulders. It speaks in rather formal and elaborate fashion, though the particulars of its language vary from form to form. It tends to prefer peace, quiet, and solitude, meditating or practicing when not busying itself with more important tasks. Interruptions tend to be received less than fondly, though Ajax will always make time for those it considers close companions. Oftentimes, it comments on even new experiences as if it had already seen them before, drawing on hazy memories left long ago.
Dutiful - If given a mission, Ajax will see to it that it is done to the letter. Unfortunately, it has no sense of proportionality to these missions. It will give the same gravity to both world-spanning adventures and trips to the corner store. For this reason, in times of crisis Ajax seems almost too calm, while in times of peace it seems almost hilariously high-strung. It will also nearly trip over its own feet to do good for those who are suffering, whether the subject involves it or not. When it completes these tasks, it seems to be strangely humble on the surface, writing them off as if they were nothing. However, close attention to these words may reveal quite the inflated self-esteem; of course these tasks were nothing! Ajax was here.
Not So Above It All - Despite seeming stuffy and hyper-focused, Ajax isn't unyielding. In fact, a probing challenge from its other half will oftentimes get it involved in the same nonsense that Azazel and Isaac inevitably get sucked into. Worse, Ajax tends to commit to these challenges 100%, which only gets Azazel more worked up in the process. Together, the two of them are all too capable of feeding off of each other's energy, leading to escalating towers of shenanigans that poor Isaac is left having to puzzle out on his lonesome. Rumor has it that Ajax has quite the sweet tooth, but on the honor if its spear and buckler none shall ever know . . .
History: Azazel says Ajax is little more than its cast-off shell. Ajax says Azazel is little more than its wandering spirit. Before then, they were another. Before even then, they were nothing.
Goals: Become Whole - Ajax knows not how it and Azazel divided, but it knows that it certainly is no longer the original knight from which the two of them hailed. Whereas Azazel wishes to surpass this original legend, Ajax simply wants to become itself again. Until that moment, it seeks to embody the life it once knew, chasing after hazy memories and half-remembered legends. It sees efforts to defy or surpass this nature as foolery that will only lead to further fractures, leaving their true nature forever lost to the void of Once Was. Despite this, it struggles between embodying deed and embodying virtue, finding itself yearning for greater . . .
Protect My Charge: It is clear to Ajax that Isaac has lead an . . . Interesting life. While the bond of tamer and Digimon is still so foreign to it, a different bond guides it towards wanting to see the wayward teen set straight; compassion. Ajax is no therapist. In fact, it is barely in tune with its own emotions. Yet it will still fight for Isaac in the only way it knows how, and a part of it knows Isaac will gleefully return the favor. Perhaps, in understanding the mysteries of companionship, Ajax will begin to better understand its own mysteries in turn. Azazel, vexing as it may be, reaps the benefit of similar protections. Ajax will put any argument aside to fight for its shadow when the chips are down.

AZAZEL - The Knave's Tale
Fresh:
Species: MetalKoromon Attribute: Free Family: Metal Empire Type: Machine Appearance: Personality: Azazel is completely mute in this form, only capable of speaking in chirps, clicks, and whirrs. Most of their processing power is dedicated to curiosity and exploration, with thinking things through a far less crucial priority. Something about this nonspeaking, nonblinking, high energy form feels oddly sassy . . . Little Livewire - MetalKoromon's tail sparks in response to extreme stimuli. When experiencing strong feelings, this shower of sparks can become downright uncontrollable. - Jamming Shower - MetalKoromon unleashes a shower of sparks right in its opponent's face. While more distracting than harmful, it gives MetalKoromon time to scurry away.
In-Training:
Species: Pickmon Attribute: Free Family: Metal Empire. Type: Lesser Appearance: Personality: A bigger body and smaller battery means the same energy that let MetalKoromon skitter everywhere now goes towards growth, development, and being a rad influence. Ajax insists that he's actually more of a bad influence, but what does that square know about being cool? Pick Posse - Azazel seems to encounter followers wherever it goes. These five Chibickmon follow in Azazel's footsteps, oftentimes connecting their bodies in a form of crude shapeshifting. - Operation Shooting Star - The Chibickmon arrange themselves into the shape of a star, with Azazel at its center. They hurtle through the air like the world's most haphazard shuriken.
Rookie:
Species: PawnChessmon Black Attribute: Virus Family: Metal Empire. Type: Puppet Appearance: Personality: This is Azazel's default form, so its personality is at its most basic here. Hollow Knight - Azazel moves less like a clunky armored knight and more like a shadow. It's so quick and quiet that foes may not realize it's taken to the battlefield. - En Passant - Azazel rolls through an otherwise sttaightforward attack, slicing the foe with its buckler as it passes. A swift attack that deals extra damage if it catches foes off guard.
Common Knave - Azazel may look like a knight, but it sure doesn't fight like one. Azazel uses distractions, dirty tactics, and too-clever-by-half schemes far more than its spear and buckler. - Buster Knuckle - Azazel punches a foe straight in their most sensitive spot, knocking the wind right out of them. The opponent's movement and attack speed are hobbled from the pain.
Duration: 2 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post. - Fool's Mate - Black lightning crackles from Azazel's spear, intensifying to a fever pitch as it claims a foe's life to be forfeit. However, it is simply a ruse, only a tiny jolt zapping the foe. If the foe falls for it, their lowered guard drastically reduces their defenses.
Element: Dark. Duration: 1 Post. Cooldown: 2 Posts.
Path the First - Of Duty And Passion
Champion:
Species: SkullKnightmon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Undead Appearance: Personality: In many ways, SkullKnightmon is a slightly matured version of Azazel. It's a little less naive, a little less straightforward, and a lot more creative in combat. However, it also has a worrying tendency to get a little too into its battles, sometimes bordering on cruelty. It is a form that Azazel still needs to learn how to properly handle. Spear Needle - Eschewing the tradtional shield of knighthood, Azazel instead fights with a massive lance in each hand. Its techniques emphasize keeping foes under constant pressure, seeming to get stronger with each hit. - Berserk Barrage - Azazel rains a mix of feints, jabs, and crosses down upon its foe with its Spear Needle lances. An uneven rhythm and mix of fake and real hits makes avoiding this technique very difficult.
- Mach Tornado - Azazel holds its lances out and spins, building up speed as if it were a bladed top. An opponent sucked into this vortex will take heavy damage and be left dazed . . . but, whether it hits or misses, so will Azazel!
Element: Dark. Duration: 1 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post. Blackwing Cape - Azazel's cape bears a dark enhancement, letting it turn into a pair of batlike wings. This trick makes Azazel far more mobile, both high in the air and when skimming across the ground, than it looks. Cursed Soul - Azazel is a dabbler in various forms of dark magics. Rather than wielding elemental darkness itself, it prefers forbidden arts such as necromancy and hexes. - Evil Eye - The eyes on Azazel's breastplate glow a piercing red, throwing even the mightiest of foes off-balance. Unless a foe steels themselves, they are stricken with a deep-seated fear.
Duration: 2 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post. - Dead Man's Hand - Azazel stabs at the ground, spurring the junk data buried beneath to rise. Skeletal hands rise from the ground, slowing and damaging any who dare tread on them. The patch of skeletal hands spreads outwards by the moment before returning to their eternal rest.

Path the Second - Those Who Wander Are Not Lost
Champion:
Species: Yasyamon Attribute: Vaccine Family: Nature Spirits Type: Demon Man Appearance: Personality: Yasyamon is downright unflappable, even in the strangest of circumstances. The most shocking news gets little more than a "huh, neat" or a "didn't see that one coming." It's one of Azazel's quieter forms, and has a deep-seated fascination for people watching. Its participation in battle is usually somewhat reluctant, but always ferocious. Dual Blade - With a well-worn bokken in each hand and a shield guard on each wrist, Azazel is a relentless fighter. If given an advantage it refuses to let up, its offense and defense each dependent on its momentum. - Ebb and Flow - Azazel darts in and out of combat, flowing like a winding river between lunging strikes. This strange half-step pattern leaves the technique deceptively long-ranged and makes countering Azazel surprisingly difficult.
Bewitching Mask - Azazel's mask, devoid of any emotion, has a strangely compelling effect on those who stare directly into it. While it acts ignorant of its effects, is he truly . . . ? - Puppetmaster Technique - When a foe is locked into Azazel's bewitching gaze, they become all too open to its suggestions. If the target follows Azazel's intents, it is rewarded with heavy stat boosts. If it resists, these become penalties. The connection can end early if Azazel is fought off, though even a fully-accepted connection is severed after enough time passes.
Duration: 1-3 Posts. Cooldown: 2 Posts. Spirit of the Winds - Azazel is less of a living being and more of a puppetlike entity. Its overly quiet footsteps and more limber than water movements give it an almost uncanny feeling, while also making it an unpredictable fighter. - Ittouryoudan - Azazel crosses its bokken atop one another. As it grinds them against one another, the force of their passing launches a crescent-shaped blade of wind. While a short ranged attack, it is very swift.
Element: Wind - Windward Mirage - One minute, Azazel is there. The next, all that's left of it is swirling leaves and a looming shadow behind his foe. Azazel can teleport short distances, following up his warp with a bokken right to the back.

Aberrant Path - Farcical Knight
JUNK Champion:
Species: Omekamon Attribute: Data Family: Metal Empire Type: Puppet Appearance: Personality: Omekamon believes itself to be every bit as glorious as the legendary hero it fashions itself after. Its cognitive dissonance is legendary, with failures being re-remembered as triumphs, cowardice as bravery, and desperate improvisation as all part of its plan. It has nearly no sense of self preservation, yet somehow persists nonetheless. Transcendenter Sword and Surpemest Cannon - Azazel is equipped with the sacred relics of the Royal Knights themselves! Kind of. The Transcendenter Sword is little more than a yellow highlighter, and the Supremiest Cannon fires wadded-up balls of paper. But they're totally cool and functional! - Small Delete - Azazel kicks it up and shows the world the things he can do. A series of blasts with the Supremiest Cannon cover for his approach as he rushes towards his foe, stabbing them right in the head with the Transcendenter Sword. It leaves a little yellow mark on their forehead.
Arts and Crafts - If his main techniques don't work out, Azazel goes back to the literal drawing board. While his scribblings are surprisingly functional, those functions rarely pan out as intended! - Rocket in a Pocket - Azazel draws his biggest, deadliest marker yet, one so big that it takes an entire post to prime it for launch. The resulting explosion is surprisingly massive, the flame flickering in glorious technicolor.
Element: All. Cooldown: 1 Post. - Anything You Can Do . . . - Not one to let his foes flex on him, Azazel whips up a perfect mimicry of their last used technique. While far weaker than the genuine article, the fact that he can use cardboard and markers to accomplish such a feat is honestly impressive!
Cooldown: 1 Post. Soul of Steel, Armor of Cardboard - Azazel is pathetically weak in this form, barely counting as a Digivolution. Despite this, his resolve only grows stronger. It practically takes killing him to make him stop fighting. Scans also do not register it properly, listing its level as Transcendent, Supreme, Plus Ultra, and other such scribbled-in titles. - Omeka Kick - Azazel leaps into the air, seeming to pause in midair. After angling himself into the perfect kicking pose, he descends like a shooting star. Unlike most of his techniques, this one is surprisingly powerful!

Shining Path - Duty Shared is Burdens Halved
Armor:
Species: Maildramon Attribute: Vaccine Family: Cyborg Type: Metal Empire Appearance: Personality: Maildramon is surprisingly humble, to such an extent that Isaac and Ajax need to make sure it's the same old Azazel. Despite this, they are no less convinced of their glory and splendor. They simply see it as a joy to share with others instead of a treasure to celebrate alone. Pro . . . gress? Moving Fortress - Covered in Chrome Digizoid armor, Azazel is as sturdy as a castle on legs. Its wide, sturdy build allows it to easily serve as cover for other Digimon. - Steelform - Azazel's armor shines bright, locking into place to brace itself for the worst of his foes' onslaughts. It takes greatly reduced damage, to the point of nigh-invulnerability, but at the cost of being left immobile.
Duration: 1 Posts. Cooldown: 2 Posts. - Piledriver Stallion Style - Azazel leaps far higher into the air than a colossal armored dragon should be capable of. It brings its full weight down on his opponents, landing with enough force to shatter shields and armor.
Cooldown: 1 Posts. Shining Steed - Azazel's true might is not its own, instead, it is designed to be shared with allies. A Digimon or human riding on Azazel's back gets a noted boost to all combat parameters, at the cost of Azazel's own lowering to match. Luminous One - Azazel's natural aptitude with magic hasn't changed despite becoming a proper knight in shining armor. It is capable of using powerful light-based magic to temper its natural ferocity. - Lightning Spear - Sparks of light gather at the tip of Azazel's horn. With an imperious toss of its head, they rain down from above to harry its foes from all sides.
Element: Light. - Flashbang Breath - Azazel roars, a beam of pure light from its unhinged jaw. A harmless technique, but the combination of overwhelming light and sound leaves foes hopelessly disoriented.
Duration: 1 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Posts. Dragon's Miracle - Maildramon are said to be omens of good luck, and Azazel is no exception. In times of great need it pushes this luck, as if attempting to enact his will on uncaring fate itself. Rarely, so rarely, it even seems to listen. - Dragon's Tears - Azazel bows its head near a fallen Digimon. Is it reviving them with the tears of a mythic beast? Or is it whispering a mix of encouragement and threats? The only one who knows is its target, who springs back to their feet on their last legs.

~~~~ AJAX - The Squire's Tale
Fresh:
Species: MetalKoromon Attribute: Free Family: Metal Empire Type: Machine Appearance: Personality: In contrast to Azazel's form, this MetalKoromon is far more sedate. It darts around from point of light to point of light, enjoying long sun-naps in whatever source it can find. Despite this, it is never unaware. There is always a healthy suspicion tucked away in those tiny red eyes. Little Livewire - MetalKoromon's tail sparks in response to extreme stimuli. When experiencing strong feelings, this shower of sparks can become downright uncontrollable. - Jamming Shower - MetalKoromon unleashes a shower of sparks right in its opponent's face. While more distracting than harmful, it gives MetalKoromon time to scurry away.
In-Training:
Species: KoZenimon Attribute: Free Family: Metal Empire. Type: Lesser Appearance: Personality: Bouncing from need to need develops and enriches, now becoming bouncing from want to want. Ajax does not need to find these shiny treasures, yet it finds itself strangely compelled to. Shortly after doing so, it inevitably feels bad and tries to find the rightful owner to return them to. Greed's Eye - Ajax is a natural at finding lost objects and buried treasure. It can often discover mundane items in the most unexpected of places. - Nickled and Dimed - Ajax throws a shower of coins into an unexpecting foe's face. Often, it is too busy scooping them back up to flee.
Rookie:
Species: PawnChessmon White Attribute: Virus Family: Metal Empire. Type: Puppet Appearance: Personality: This is Ajax's default form, so its personality is at its most basic here. Statuesque - While Ajax looks like a brave little knight, it's more like a statue of a brave little knight. It is far heavier and sturdier than his size may indicate. - Knightfall - Ajax leaps surprisingly high for such a heavy pawn, bringing its full weight down on any foe unlucky enough to stay beneath it.
- Castle Crash - Ajax hefts its shield and spear high before barreling straight towards a foe. This technique can power straight through a single attack, serving as a defense in a pinch.
Cooldown: 2 Posts. Paladin's Squire - Ajax's path to promotion still stretches before its, beckoning it to walk many paths. While neither an expert of magic or melee, it weaves them together in combat to keep both arts practiced. - Bishop's Blade - Ajax infuses the heft of its spear with crackling white lightning. Enchanted like this, it can use it as a spear and a staff simultaneously, allowing for faster attacks used at further ranges.
Element: Light. Duration: 2 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post.
Path the First - To Be One's Sword and Shield
Champion:
Species: Knightmon Attribute: Data Family: Virus Busters Type: Warrior Appearance: Personality: In many ways, Knightmon is Ajax's ideal development. It has gone from small and relatively hapless to a noble and experienced titan, capable of protecting those that matter to them no matter the cost. At times it can be a little too noble and self-sacrificing, forcing an early de-Digivolution when it gets in over its head. Blademaster - Ajax carries three blades; an agile bronze dagger, a well-balanced silver longsword, and a colossal golden greatsword. Depending on its armament of choice, it can fight with swiftness, precision, or overwhelming power. - Titan Toss - Ajax throws one of its swords straight towards an opponent, sailing through the air with unerring precision. It is forced to rely on its remaining swords until it can find the opportunity to recover the one it's thrown.
- Checkmate Break - Ajax swings with one of its blades, leaving a shimmering golden mark upon its foe. If it lands this technique with all three of its blades over the course of a fight, purifying light erupts from their body, dealing immense damage.
Element: Light. Titan's Shield - Ajax's great golden shield turns it into a living bastion on the battlefield. When it digs its heels in, only the mightiest of foes can move it. - Mate Reversal - Ajax leans into an incoming attack, shield in hand. Rather than simply parrying the blow, it absorbs its power and reflects it toward a foe. The strongest the stopped move, the stronger this attack becomes.
Element: Light. Cooldown: 3 Posts. Shining Heart - Ajax is not simply a fighter of men. It is also a leader of them. While it has much to learn about tactics, its commanding presence and grasp of hallowed magic make it a natural rallying point. - Knight's Crest - Ajax gives his closest ally a vote of confidence, setting one of its blades upon their shoulder. They gain a boost to the stat most linked to that blade (speed for bronze, accuracy for silver, power for gold), as well as a knightly boost to their durability.
Path the Second - A Brand New Frontier
Champion:
Species: Deputymon Attribute: Vaccine Family: Metal Empire Type: Mutation Appearance: Personality: A newfound sense of freedom is a little bit intoxicating for Ajax, who finds itself leaning all the way into its rootin', tootin' new role. While it tries to carry itself as a dignified lawman, its data starts pumping once combat begins in earnest. Even Azazel is impressed by some of its reckless stunts! Use More Gun - With a cannon-caliber revolver for a chest and a seemingly endless number of standard size ones on its person, Ajax may be a little too well armed. Despite feverishly insisting each one is different, its small guns are interchangeable. - Justice Bullet - Ajax fires a rapid shower of bullets from the guns tucked along its belt. Once they're spent, it tosses them aside, drawing the next set to continue its relentless barrage.
- High-Cal Rodeo - Ajax fires a bullet from the gun on its chest, only to lasso onto it before it can escape. Literally riding the bullet allows Ajax to chase down foes, making avoiding this technique all the harder.
Cooldown: 1 Post. Deadeye - If you look closely into Ajax's beady yellow dot eyes, you can see sophisticated crosshairs etched into the pupils. These give Ajax incredible accuracy and reflexes, making it unmatched in a standoff. - Shoot The Bullet - Ajax's eye flashes as it sees an opponent preparing a projectile attack of their own. With unerring precision it shoots the attack right out of the air, rendering it harmless with a tide of bullets.
Cooldown: 2 Posts. Spirit of the Sands - Hot winds and sandstorms seem to follow in Ajax's wake, as if it's carrying the spirit of the wild west along with him. Luckily, it's always dressed for those conditions, so it's everyone else's problem instead. - Heat of the Desert - Deputymon folds its arms, the light of a setting sun bearing down on the battlefield. Where its light falls, sandstorms whip outward. Anyone within the storm is buffeted by the sands, their vision obscured all the while.
Aberrant Path - Just Another Plaything
DARK Champion:
Species: Porcupamon Attribute: Virus Family: Dark Area Type: Puppet Appearance: Personality: Porcupamon no longer has any will of its own, and is all but incapable of even basic speech. It has warped into a beast of pure reaction, shambling onwards like a puppet on strings to protect its current charge. It does so in a violent fervor, at times just as painful to those it cares for as it those to those it opposes. Child Unsafe - Ajax is covered from head to toe in jagged blades, making it uniquely dangerous to approach. Even attacking Ajax without a weapon can prove more deadly to the attacker than to Ajax. - Tragedy of the Bear Claw - Ajax's claws extend outward, rupturing its own fluff-like exterior in the process. While a particularly painful attack, it hurts Ajax just as much as it hurts its target.
Stuffed With Fluff - Ajax's fluffy body may be easily torn into, but it won't stop him from finishing the fight. In this form he is seemingly immune to pain, fighting on even if large portions of his body are destroyed. - Bear Hug - Ajax tears into his seams, pulling out a viscera-like mass of cotton and sutures. He flings it at opponents like a barbed lasso, seeking to ensnare them. If they do not escape within the next post, they are dragged the embrace of his iron maiden-esque arms.
Cooldown: 2 Posts. Phantom Pain - As a protector molded by darkness, Ajax is acutely aware of what he's become. This grief takes tangible form, becoming shaped into a variety of strange and powerful dark and psychic techniques. - Madness Broach - Ajax's heavy, labored breathing worms its way into the opponent's psyche. When he howls, it echoes in the minds of his foes. The closer they are to Porcupamon, the more pain the attack deals.
Element: Psychic. Cooldown: 1 Post. - Blackheart Miasma - Ajax disconnects its gas mask-esque facial pump, uncontrollably spewing toxic gas from the resulting hole. The damage dealt by this technique intensifies over time, starting light but becoming agonizing by the end.
Shining Path - Freedom Shared is Joys Doubled
Armor:
Species: Axemon Attribute: Virus Family: Demon Beast Type: Nightmare Soldiers Appearance: Personality: With its very body malleable and flexible, Axemon relishes its newfound freedom. Barely a moment passes where it doesn't contort itself into new and exciting forms, as if eager to show off everything it can do. It can be a little gung-ho, often trying to solve problems by chopping even when they don't merit such a response. Running Lightning - Ajax is so fast and so sharp that it doesn't even need to attack in order to properly fight. Simply running past a foe aggressively enough leaves them sliced by metal blades and razor winds. - Jumpin' Jack Flash - Ajax runs not towards a foe but instead straight past them. In its wake, razor-sharp shockwaves assail the enemy on all sides. When using this attack, Ajax moves too fast to even turn around.
Element: Wind. Heavy Metal Mount - Mighty as Ajax is, it's always ready to share when a good scrap is on the line. A Digimon or human riding on Ajax's back gets a noted boost to all combat parameters, at the cost of Ajax's own lowering to match. This boost also applies when being wielded as a weapon. Weaponlord - Ajax's abstract form belies a surprising malleability; it is more several blades held together than a single beast. Ajax can change shapes into most any weapon, entrusting only its closest and worthiest allies to wield him. - The Axe Man Cometh - Ajax shifts into its preferred form; a big, deadly axe, of course! Without even needing a wielder, it floats through the air, pulverizing the area around him in an indiscriminate furor.
- Rain of Blades - Ajax raises its thorax, its black carapace peeling back to reveal a brace of golden knives. They rain down upon a foe from all directions, bleeding them out from the death of a thousand cuts.
Duration: 2 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post. Deadly Acid - Ajax's liquid metal body can be used as a highly potent acid. This comes directly from Ajax, so using too much too carelessly risks shrinking it. - Aqua Regia - Ajax spews liquid metal at an opponent, the corrosive slime greedily eating at their own hardest elements. Their weapons grow weaker, claws grow duller, and armor grows frailer and thinner.
Element: Metal. Duration: 2 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post. - Acid Armor - Ajax liquefies its entire body in a last-ditch effort to escape an enemy's onslaught. It takes greatly reduced damage and injures foes who make direct contact with it, but cannot transform during this technique's cooldown period.
~~~~ Union Path - To Find One's Self
ExE Champion:
Species: Golemon PS Attribute: Virus Family: UNDEFINED Type: UNDEFINED System Error - Ajax and Azazel may have once been one body, but now they are fully separate. A merger between them forms a being that shouldn't exist. While monstrously powerful, simply being formed damages Golemon PS over time. - Red Alert - Golemon PS' green wireframes glow an angry red, their orderly grind collapsing into a net of jagged, pulsing lines. His stats see a drastic increase that climbs further with each post, but by the move's end he is forced to de-Digivolve.
Duration: 3 Posts. Cooldown: Once per Thread. Matrix Control - Golemon PS' wireframe body chips away at the environment's surface data, revealing the foundational wireframes beneath. It can exert control over these as it wishes in a form of simple geomancy. - Matrix Stalactite - Golemon PS punches the ground, causing wireframes to pierce outward from beneath the ground like a bed of spikes. Golemon PS can guide the formation they take, with rings, lines, and waves being typical choices.
Element: Metal. Cooldown: 1 Post. Cyber Warfare - Golemon PS' energy techniques, rather than burning a foe's body, burn at their very data. Even touching Golemon PS risks causing lingering burns. - Anti-Digi Beam - Golemon PS focuses a beam of flickering green light on an opponent, textures and wire frames warping where it makes contact. The foe's stats and traits grow weaker, the debuff becoming more severe each time it is reapplied.
Element: Metal. Duration: 1 Posts. Cooldown: 1 Post. - Guardian Bomb - Golemon PS turns an object within its grip into a ticking time bomb. When textures break off of it, leaving only a pulsating wireframe behind, it explodes with enough force to reduce boulders to dust.
Element: Metal. Cooldown: 2 Posts. Heavy Hitter - Despite his many abilities, Golemon PS is not a very advanced fighter. It is often reduced to throwing its weight around to try and strong-arm opponents. Luckily, it has a lot of weight. - Wind-em-Up Punch - Golemon PS swings its arm in a big, exaggerated circle, as if readying a punch strong enough to tear its own arm clean off. Surprisingly, that's exactly what happens! This makeshift rocket punch has deceptively long range and power.
- Gargant Press - Golemon PS lurches into the air, body rigid, as if being pulled up high by a puppet's strings. At the apex of its height, it flops gracelessly down, crushing any unsuspecting foes beneath its stone-like bulk.

~~~~ The Librator's Deck - A Little Help From Our Friends
Rookie - Black:
Species: Kotemon Attribute: Data Family: Dragon's Roar Type: Reptile Appearance: Personality: Kotemon is a diligent and dependable fellow who totally isn't aggressively in the process of faking it until he makes it. His imposter syndrome is the stuff of legends, yet when the time comes to step up there is nobody better to count on. The Trainer - While he shies from the spotlight, Kotemon is a diligent and reliable training partner. His shinai can hit as soft as a feather or as hard as steel. - Men-Do-Kote - Kotemon systematically attacks an opponent's guard, creating three perfect cracks in key parts of their armor. The foe's defense sees a noted decrease where struck.
Duration: One Post. Cooldown: One Post.
Species: Candlemon Attribute: Data Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Flame Appearance: Personality: Candlemon may have slept through every class at his academy of wizardry, but that's just because he has a naturally photographic memory. When push comes to shove, he craves a challenge. The Apprentice - Candlemon has approximate knowledge of much of the Digital World's magic. While fire is his forte, he can create simple (yet unpredictable) manifeststions of any element. - The Ol' Hotfoot - Candlemon starts a small fire beneath the opponent's foot. While not a very strong attack, it slows groundbound foes by a surprising amount.
Element: Fire. Duration: One Post. Cooldown: One Post.
Rookie - Yellow:
Species: Falcomon Attribute: Vaccine Family: Wind Guardians Type: Bird Appearance: Personality: Falcomon is a natural storyteller, with a story for every trip and a birdseed dispensary in every port. She navigates cities almost as gracefully as she navigates the untamed wilderness. The Traveler - Falcomon claims to have roamed the land far and wide, traveling wherever the winds take her. While prone to exaggeration, her experience and sharp eye let her weigh in on most situations. - Eagle-Eye Feather - Falcomon launches a feather from her wing with unerring precision. The razor sharp feather leaves foes bleeding, causing damage over time. Duration: Two Posts. Cooldown: One Post.
Species: Sistermon Blanc Attribute: Vaccine Family: Nature Spirits Type: Puppet Appearance: Personality: Sistermon may be stuck looking after a cadre of Interesting personalities, but that's okay! The Maiden - Sistermon is a humble do-gooder, performing her hallowed duties wherever she goes in the name of The Source. Not a fighter by any means, her blessings provide fortune and guidance. - Fortune's Draw - Sistermon Blanc draws a shining card, reading its words to an ally to grant them the guidance they need. If her words are heeded, their next attack is stronger and more accurate.
Eager and belligerent, only being confined to a Digimon card has stopped her from picking fights with half of the people of Lumen City. The Sword in the Stone - Spadamon is a Legend-Arms, a rare Digimon that can simultaneously take the forms of a Digimon and a blade. While reports of her power are . . . somewhat exaggerated, her sharpened edge always strikes true. - Aurora Blazer - When held to the sky, Spadamon's blade glows bright.
